Genetic or congenital health conditions present at birth that affect the bird's quality of life.
🦠 Infectious Diseases
Polyomavirus, Psittacosis, PBFD, and other infectious diseases detected within 14 days of arrival.
🔬 Veterinary Exam
The cost of the initial well-bird exam (up to $100) within 7 days of receiving your bird.
❌ What's NOT Covered
Accidents & Injuries
Injuries sustained after delivery, including broken bones, cuts, or trauma from accidents in the home.
Improper Care
Illnesses resulting from improper diet, lack of hygiene, or exposure to toxins or unsafe environments.
Behavioral Issues
Feather plucking, screaming, biting, or other behavioral issues that develop over time.
Pre-existing Conditions
Any condition disclosed before purchase is not covered under this guarantee.
📋 Terms & Conditions
- The guarantee is valid for 1 year from the date of purchase/delivery.
- Buyer must have the bird examined by an avian veterinarian within 7 days of arrival.
- Vet exam results must be submitted to Gray Breeders within 10 days of the exam.
- Any health concerns must be reported immediately upon discovery.
- Gray Breeders reserves the right to require a second opinion from a chosen veterinarian.
- If a covered issue is confirmed, Gray Breeders will offer a replacement bird or refund at our discretion.
- Shipping costs for replacement birds are the responsibility of the buyer.
📞 How to Make a Claim
Step 1: Visit an Avian Vet
Take your bird to a certified avian veterinarian for examination.
Step 2: Contact Us
Call or email us immediately with the vet's findings and diagnosis.
Step 3: Submit Documentation
Provide vet records, lab results, and photos/videos if applicable.
Step 4: Resolution
We will review your claim and determine the appropriate resolution within 5-7 business days.
🏥 Required Veterinary Examination
To activate your health guarantee, you must have your bird examined by an avian veterinarian within 7 days of receiving your bird. Please email or fax the vet report to us within 10 days of the exam.
Failure to complete the required vet exam will void this health guarantee.
🔄 Replacement vs Refund
Replacement Bird
If a covered health issue is confirmed within the first 30 days, we will offer a replacement bird of equal value (subject to availability). Shipping costs for the replacement are the buyer's responsibility.
Partial Refund
If a covered health issue is confirmed between 31 days and 1 year, we will offer a partial refund based on the severity of the condition and time elapsed.

Can I transfer the guarantee to a new owner?
No. This guarantee is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
